Q : How can I use my HDTV to view movies from my tablet?

A : To use your HDTV to view movies from the tablet, please first connect the tablet to your HDTV using a micro HDMI cable. Make sure you switch to the HDMI input on your TV, to be able to view what's being played on the tablet. The aspect ratio of your TV should also be set to 720p (1280x720). From the Home screen, please press All Apps > Connected Media > Videos, and tap the video to play it and select an appropriate player.

Q : How do I setup a VPN connection on my tablet?

A : To setup a VPN connection, from the Home screen, please press MENU > Settings > Wireless & Networks > VPN settings > Add VPN, and select the type of VPN you want to create. Input the VPN Settings, then press MENU > Save when you are finished.

Note 1: A Wi-Fi Internet connection is required to access this service.
Note 2: Please ask your IT administrator for your VPN settings.
Note 3: Usage of this feature may shorten the tablet's battery life.

Q : How do I enable automatic updating for my applications?

A : To enable automatic updating for the applications you have downloaded from the Android Market, from the Home screen please press All Apps > Market > MENU > My Apps. This screen will show a list of applications that are currently installed on the tablet. Please choose the application you want to automatically update and tap it to open. On the application description screen, put a check on "Allow automatic updating".

Q : How do I bookmark a web site?

A : You can bookmark as many websites as you want, to quickly access them at any time. From the Home screen please press All Apps > Internet, then tap the add icon > bookmark, and then make necessary changes. Note 1: A Wi-Fi Internet connection is required to access this service. Note 2: The add icon is the plus (+) icon beside the address bar.

Q : Does the built in browser support Adobe Flash?

A : Yes. The pre-installed browser in your tablet supports Adobe Flash. Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1 is included so you can enjoy more games and videos, and experience the Web as it was meant to be seen.

Q : GALAPAD 7 won't start up, no display after I press the power button?

A : 1. Disconnect the Micro USB cable (if connected) from your GALAPAD 7 then press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. 2. If your device doesn't start up, charge your GALAPAD 7 battery:

Note 1: Connect the bundled AC adapter to your GALAPAD 7 then charge your device for at least an hour.
Note 2: Press the power button again. If your GALAPAD 7 still won't start up, please contact GALAPAD customer support.
Note 3: Ensure that you use only the bundled Micro USB cable and AC adapter to charge your device.

Update Procedure:

1. Download the zipped firmware file (6.xx.xx.xx.rar).

2. Unzipped the firmware file and save the folder p9202.v1 and update.zip into the root directory of your microSD card (TF card).

3. Power off your Galapad G1, and then insert microSD card into your Galapad G1.

4. Press and hold “volume (+)” & “volume (-)” button, and “On/Off “button simultaneously to enter update mode. Release buttons when you see “UPDATE” shown on the screen. Wait for approximate 3 mins to complete update process.

5. After update completed, press and hold “On/Off” button for approximate 10 sec to power off.

6. Press and hold “volume (-)” and “On/Off” button at the same time to enter recovery mode.

7. Release buttons when you see “RECOVERY”.

8. Press “volume (-)” button 4 times to select “apply update from sdcard”, press “On/Off” button to start.

9. When installation completed, press “On/Off” button to restart.
